PE405 - Basics of Acting for Everyone

Course Description

This is a course for those wanting to explore the art and craft of acting. Discover your own unique talent while working with acting basics of voice movement/gesture, etc. Acting imparts self-confidence and poise.

You will work with acting techniques, scene work, monologues and improvisation to create a pathway into the process of acting. Those with experience can hone their craft and those new to this work will be able to incorporate its enriching skills into your life.

Instructor: Katherine Bacon, Associate Professor. New York City trained actor/director. Led the vibrant SUNY Broome theater program for 20 years until 2021. Directed 45 productions. Presenter at the Oxford Round Table, Oxford University, UK. Currently Adjunct Associate Professor of Theater.
