There’s no better time to explore career paths than in middle school! SUNY Broome and Broome Tioga BOCES are pleased to announce the 2025-2026 Hornet Academy for middle school students (6-7th grades). By committing 2 Saturdays a month throughout the school year, participants will join college faculty on campus and BOCES instructors to sample a full range of programs through a series of hands-on activities.

Participating school districts will hand-select students for this experience. Hornet Academy will offer students insight into different SUNY Broome and BOCES programs and encourage further exploration of in-demand careers, potentially influencing high school course selection and increasing academic confidence.

Highlighted skills will include in-demand industries in the region and connection to local employers.
